The Iconic cooked these items much faster than expected, so I adjusted my cooking time to prevent burning. The food came out perfect: crispy and delicious, with no added oil.

I also used the reheat function several times. I usually reheat leftovers in my microwave, but that often results in a burning-hot exterior and a cold interior. The Iconic reheated my food evenly and quickly without burning or drying it out.

How does the Cosori Iconic app work?

The Iconic connects to the VeSync app, where you can set cooking times, temperatures, and functions. You do need to press the start button on the air fryer physically—this is for safety, so you don’t accidentally turn it on when you don’t mean to. Connecting the Iconic to the app was super simple and took me less than two minutes. 

The app has a cooking chart that shows recommended cooking times for a variety of foods, including hamburgers and hot dogs, ribs, salmon, broccoli, and fries. Once you select the food you want to cook, you can send the settings to the Iconic, so all you need to do is physically press start. This was a neat feature that I used several times.

Is the Cosori Iconic worth the price?

The Cosori Iconic is pricier than many air fryers. However, the Iconic has several features that cheaper air fryers lack, most notably its sustainable design and construction. If you’re trying to reduce plastic in your home or want to control your air fryer with an app, the Cosori Iconic is well worth the price—and it doesn’t hurt that it looks great on your kitchen counter.

But since it cooks so quickly, the noise is short-lived. You’ll also need to wipe the Iconic down quite often; the stainless steel construction shows fingerprints and smudge marks immediately.
